Adoption Process, Pricing & Priority List
-
Our kittens are $3,000 for pet homes. All Maine Coon kittens are vet checked, up to date on immunizations, genetically tested through Wisdom, and spayed/neutered before going to their homes.
-
The first step is to read through our FAQs!
Next step is to complete our kitten application form found on our website under 'Our Kittens' tab so we can learn more about you and your home. Once we review your application, we will send you an email. All approved applicants are placed on our priority list. You must be accepted onto our priority list in order to reserve a kitten from Botanical Paws Maine Coon Cattery.
Important: We care very much about all of our Maine Coon cats and kittens. We do reserve the right to refuse sales to anyone to ensure our cat’s and kitten’s best interest.
-
Priority list members are the first to receive updates by email on upcoming litters, birth of kittens, and weekly updates on the kittens! Once the kittens are 8 weeks old, priority list members are given the opportunity to reserve a kitten. We set a reservation date/time for each kitten. The first priority list member to send in their signed contract and deposit of $1,000 after reservation opens is who gets to claim that kitten as theirs! We do offer FaceTime to priority list members prior to reservation opening.
-
All of our kittens are spayed/neutered at 12 weeks of age. He/She will be ready to go home one to two weeks later, after they are healed from surgery. This age ensures the kittens are weaned off their mother, socialized well, and litter box trained! The remaining balance of $2,000 is due during pick up/delivery.
-
Our kittens come with a four year health guarantee. This means that if your kitten passes away before the age of four years for any reason aside from neglect or abuse, we will replace your kitten with one from the next litter. We do many different tests to ensure the health of our Maine Coons is the best that we can provide, and are confident they’ll get into their senior years with you.
We do not replace or refund kittens for abuse, neglect, or treatable illness/injuries.
-
Yes! Kittens are vet checked twice, receive two sets of FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to going home. Rabies vaccination can be administered upon request.
-
Short answer: No.
All kittens are spayed/neutered prior to going to their furever homes.
Breeding rights will only be considered to established catteries that have a thorough conversation and contract with us.
-
No. This practice is cruel, unnecessary, and can compromise their behaviors. Our contract prohibits this practice.
Below is a link for a short video by cat behaviorist, Jackson Galaxy, to help you learn a little more about declawing cats if you are undecided on this issue:

Yes! We are a recognized registered cattery through TICA since 2024. All kittens are registered through TICA, and we transfer their ownership straight to your TICA account during the pick up/delivery process.
The benefit of TICA registration is it shows the proof of who the lineage is of your kitten, which shows you are receiving 100% Maine Coon!

There comes a time when our breeders have fulfilled their duties in continuing their genetic lineage through kittens for pet homes to love & enjoy. We do offer retired breeders at reduced cost to our priority members after they healed from spay/neuter surgery.

Maine Coons are incredibly sweet, affectionate, and smart! They are known as the dogs of the cat world because they love to be with their owners and can be easily trained! Be prepared to be loved extra hard - they LOVE attention!
-
Yes! Our goal is to expose all of our Maine Coons to both kids and other animals to ensure that they will fit in well with their future homes!
-
Maine Coons have a coat that is considered shaggy. This means there are areas where their fur is shorter and other areas where their fur is longer. They tend to shed less than the normal domestic long haired, but more than the domestic short haired.
-
Our Maine Coons' diet consists largely of raw cat food. Research has shown that cats should consume much more raw or wet food rather than dry kibble. We do give our Maine Coons small amounts of 4Health dry kibble. All kittens are exposed to raw, wet and dry food while in our care. It is best to stick with a high protein diet for their gut health and growth.

Maine Coons love any toy that is on a pole! They are wonderful hunters, so getting those instincts going can really benefit their emotional wellbeing.
